The HQ’s award winning engineer/ professional musician ‘Gregor “G-man” Mcphie' has over 20 years production experience, producing albums that have sold over 300,000 units and has experience recording all styles of music for which he had Gold, Platinum and Triple Platinum discs awarded.  G-man also has a great deal of experience in programming computer music, fully composing and arranging backing tracks, as a musician G-man can also ‘build’ tracks around solo performers by adding drums, bass, guitar, keys, percussion and backing vocals to productions (check out the ‘Virtual Band’ package HERE) Where appropriate G-man is very much a ‘hands on’ producer, full of helpful points, career advice and the best ways to get your music ‘out there’. As a professional session musician G-man has toured the world performing to crowds up to 60,000 and is currently a published songwriter and signed dance music producer.

            Many of G-man’s productions at the HQ have been released by record companies and receive regular airplay (including Radio 1) but despite his CV “G-man” welcomes acts at ALL levels and styles and approaches every project with the same enthusiasm and creativity –  as a session musician himself, he has a great both deal of experience on both sides of the mixing desk and is well aware of how to get the best ‘takes’ from performers. Since opening in 2010, 97% of all HQ clients have become repeat customers after completing their initial projects, a testament to the service and sound quality on offer at the HQ !
